300 km from the Gabonese coast , we can see the archipelago of São Tomé and Principe with its volcanic summits in a paradisiac environment. They have kept from their past as a Portuguese colony, the magnificent architecture, lifestyle and language. In the four corners of the island, we are astonished at the plantations (called ‘roças’) and their buildings that are often monumental.
In the middle of the rainforest, amateur botanists can find exotic plants and flowers such as orchids, giant begonias or tree ferns. As for amateur rare bird-watchers, the islands will reveal 143 species, 26 of which are endemic.

Fishermen
The turtles come to lay their eggs from November to February, and the whales and dolphins play in the coastal waters between July and September. In both São Tomé and Principe you can do big game fishing and deep-sea diving with or without oxygen bottles. Marlin and sailfish are the best known of the big fish in the archipelago, but underwater sea life is extremely rich for either fishing or observation. These islands still almost unknown, have very few visitors, and they have kept their natural freshness and authenticity. The friendly welcome of the São Tomé people, the beauty of the scenery and the originality of this unique place, leaves visitors with an unforgettable memory.
