The Agostinho Neto ‘roça’ (plantation) with its monumental buildings that give it the nickname of ‘Little Versailles’, the blue lagoon with its turquoise water and Neves – the second city on the island. We then take a 4-wheel drive up the northern coast to visit the Agua Isé Plantation and the phenomenon of the Mouth of the Devil (Boca d’inferno) – a huge wave shooting up out of a natural canal formation.

Then you will go on foot to discover the ountain and its wet forest which contains astonishing botanical wealth.
From Bom Sucesso, we go to the Amélia Lagoon, the former crater at 1400 meters of altitude – a real botanical and ornithological sanctuary.

Orchids, giant begonias and tree ferns are everywhere. We then go down to the little plantation of Bom Baim, where we spend the night before going on to São João de Angolarès where we go through regions that are very rich in bird species.
