This twelve-day tour can welcome you all year long. You will be met at the Libreville airport and taken to your hotel. The next day you will take the train to the National Lopé Park going along the magnificent Ogooué Valley, and you will stop at the Lopé Hotel at the foot of Mount Brazza.

The park can be visited in a 4-wheel drive allowing you to look for herds of red buffaloes and elephants, antelopes, red river hogs and birds, and then to go on foot to see the smaller mammals and monkeys.

The Mikongo Camp – 1.5 hours from the hotel, is a gathering center for primates, and also the base for the Ecofac researchers who will be pleased to speak to you about the forest and behaviour you should have while walking through the forest.

For two days, accompanied by guides, you will go looking for big game and especially the big primates: gorillas, chimpanzees, mandrills. An extra stop will take you to the Ololo Camp in the heart of the park up the Offoué River.

Here also fascinating paths will allow you to find the primates, and especially, the cercopithecus solatus – the sun-tailed monkey, endemic to this region.

You will then go down the Offoué River in a dugout canoe, surprising the animals that live on the river banks. It is not rare to see a gorilla on this river trip.

Back at the Lopé Hotel, you can then take a lovely trip in a dugout canoe down the Ogooué River to the site of the cave drawings. You then return to Libreville by train, have a short rest, and fly off to the little town of Omboué.

While staying at the Ye Tsanou Lodge at Iguéla on the edge of the lagoon in the National Loango Park, you can visit this magnificent national coastal park and, according to the season, camp at Akaka – a marshy area where unimaginable numbers of elephants, red buffaloes, antelopes and hippopotamus come together during the dry season, or at Tassi.

Near the beach you have the opportunity to see something unique: big mammals walking along the beach.

The flight from Omboué to Libreville will allow you to return to the capital and get your international flight connection.
