the botanical and fauna wealth of this superb park. In a dugout
canoe on the rapids of the Ogooué River, you can go to
the site of the cave drawings dating back to over 500 years before
Christ.
It’s back to the train to go to Moanda in the Franceville
region where you will then have a car to go to the Lékédi
Park. From the park hotel with its simple but suitable comfort,
you can visit the various areas wherein hundreds of animals find
shelter.

over the forest allows you to make exciting observations of the fauna
on top of the tall trees, as well as the mandrills who live just below
the treetops. An orphanage for chimpanzees has been set up on a small
island, and here we can observe the monkeys from a motorised boat. You
can also discover the various activities of this interesting project:
the weaving of ‘raphia’ fibres, fish culture, the growing
of mushrooms, pottery and the museum on the history of the long cable
car once used to transport manganese.
